Sales Manager

Job Overview:

  • Reporting to the CBE, the Sales Manager will have accountability and responsibility for targeted accounts.
  • The candidate will need a proven sales management background and a track record of success in the region. The Sales Manager will work with Solution Unit, Delivery, Professional Services, Marketing, Finance and Product Management functions besides partners wherever required.


  • Responsible for growing the business in existing accounts, territories, and new domains
  • Partner with third parties and alliances to expand business opportunities
  • Establish strong relationships with key decision makers, influencers, and executive sponsors in the targeted accounts and the industry
  • Identify opportunities based on the needs and pain points of the customer
  • Develop and execute the business strategy for growth, focusing on opening doors, building relationships, establishing new revenue streams
  • Grow revenue through renewal and extension of existing contracts, identification of new pipeline opportunities, and sales of incremental added value services including cross-sell and up-sell opportunities
  • Meeting and exceeding defined targets
  • Achieve or exceed revenue and margin targets
  • Execute campaigns across the customer base to generate incremental revenue e.g. version and volume upgrades/new products or modules
  • Co-operate closely with marketing, product management and PS delivery teams to ensure customer needs, desires and requirements are clearly understood and addressed
  • Effectively communicate CSG’s value proposition, roadmap and vision to customers and partners
  • Manage contract negotiations

Desired Skill Set & Experience:

  • 10+ years of sales leadership experience
  • A “Hunter” with strong network of senior level contacts in the telecommunications industry
  • Strong domain knowledge in telecom
  • Proven experience of software/solution sales. Has a track record of innovative solution selling, and operates on a consultative basis
  • Ability to close large complex deals
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships
  • Results-oriented with a strong performance
  • Track record of exceeding planned targets
  • Strong Business development skills: able to harness a substantial revenue stream and develop initiatives to grow it
